Lolita Lempicka Perfume & Women's Fragrance

Lolita Lempicka, born Josiane Maryse Pividal, is a French fashion designer and perfume creator. Her name comes from Nabokov’s novel “Lolita” and Polish Art Deco painter Tamara de Lempicka. Her passion for fashion-designing began at a young age when she made dresses for her dolls herself. As a child she loved fairy tales, princesses and splendid dresses. These elements are still present in her collections and perfume designs. Her dresses are attentively and delicately embroidered and her perfume bottles look like they belong to a magical wonderland. Fairy tales aren’t her only source of inspiration, however. She was also inspired by fashion magazines like Marie Claire, by designers such as Coco Chanel, by poets like Jean Cocteau and painters like Matisse and Modigliani.

Her first collection was presented in 1983, at 29, and her first shop opened one year later in Paris. In that same year she had her first fashion show in Tokyo. Before establishing her own fashion house in 1990, she was artistic director for Cacharel (from 1987 to 1990).
Her love story with perfume started by with the launch of Lolita Lempicka (1997). Since its debut the scent in the iconic apple-shaped bottle has become a worldwide best-seller and perfumes have become as important to the brand as the dresses. In 2008, Lempicka released the floral scents Fleur Défendue and Fleur de Corail (Forbidden Flower and Coral Flower, respectively). Si Lolita (2009) is an oriental and floral fragrance in a clover-shaped bottle. L’Eau En Blanc (2012) is a dreamy woody and floral fragrance, shaped like a lilac and gold apple.
